Alila Kothaifaru Maldives

Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is a new resort that opened its doors in April 2022. The island of Kothaifaru is located on the northern edge of the Maldives archipelago in the picturesque Raa Atoll, just a 45-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport. Raa Atoll is one of the deepest atolls and boasts a rich flora and fauna, offering a wide range of opportunities for underwater activities.

Spread across 11.2 hectares (with the island's size being 650m x 180m), the resort features 80 spacious villas – beachfront and overwater – ranging from 125 to 202 square meters, each equipped with its private pool. The interiors of the rooms are designed in a modern minimalist style with light tones and natural textures.

The elegant architecture of the resort is designed by the Singaporean company Studiogoto. Open spaces, innovative design, a subtle palette of island colors, and textures create an atmosphere of complete relaxation and harmony with nature.

For children and teenagers, there's "Play Alila," a recreational space offering developmental games, programs, and activities. "SPA Alila," situated above the treetops, features four double treatment rooms where guests can indulge in rejuvenating procedures and cosmetic rituals.

The "Water Sports & Dive Centre" offers various activities such as diving, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, and more, including water sports for younger guests.

Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts can explore the stunning house reef or embark on an exciting excursion to the famous marine reserve, Hanifaru Bay, which is the world's largest feeding area for manta rays and whale sharks.

Near the hotel, you'll find Vadhoo Island, one of the best places to witness the captivating natural phenomenon known as the "Sea of Stars."
