Kuramathi Maldives

Kuramathi Island Resort - one of the first eco-resorts in the Maldives, is part of the Universal Resorts hotel chain.


Guests of the resort can enjoy exciting diving and snorkeling activities. There are around 20 dive sites near the island, accessible by a traditional Maldivian boat called a "doni." Among the most interesting sites are Madivaru Channel and Manta Block, where one can see tunas, eagle rays, napoleons, reef sharks, stonefish, frogfish, and manta rays.


The resort features a diving center called Rasdhoo Divers, and there's also a marine biology station. Kuramathi SPA offers a wide range of beauty treatments for the face and body. Guests can indulge in a Finnish sauna, jacuzzi, and swimming pool. After sunset, the lively atmosphere continues with musical performances, DJ sets, and beach cinema sessions.

The staff is very friendly, and the house reef is decent. Kuramathi Island Resort comes highly recommended for family vacations and snorkeling enthusiasts. The sandy beach is teeming with a variety of fish, making it possible to see them just by wading into the water from any part of the beach.
